Transcending time with exquisite retro texture, the whispers of Chinese celluloid eyewear craftsmen. Officially registered in 2017, the 貞觀謹製 “Zhen Guan Jin Zhi” eyewear brand actually began producing products as early as 2012, exclusively sold in the eyewear store owned by founder Leo. From limited quantities to now expanding to frontline factories, Leo spent nearly 20 years honing his skills in the eyewear industry, ultimately fulfilling his dream of owning his own brand. “Zhen Guan Jin Zhi” infuses complex cultural heritage and diverse details into the frame structure, crafting celluloid eyewear full of “connotation” through the spirit and temperament of traditional Chinese craftsmen.

Celluloid possesses a unique texture and luster unmatched by other materials, but it has a lower ignition point, and the manufacturing process is entirely handmade, with even Japanese craftsmen using it less and less. “Zhen Guan Jin Zhi” is one of the few brands in China that insists on using celluloid and traditional craftsmanship to produce eyewear.
