The 2026 Shenzhen International Eyewear (Wearable) Design Contest is now inviting entries from around the world. In addition to judging fashionable eyewear design concepts, this competition also features a dedicated Smart Eyewear category—the first of its kind among major global eyewear design contests—encouraging participants to focus on technological innovation and to drive upgrades in eyewear products through advanced technology.
A key highlight of this design award is that, compared with other large-scale events in the same category, it offers the largest prize pool and the highest prize amount for individual awards. The organizing committee’s Grand Prize alone reaches RMB 80,000, using substantial prize incentives to motivate designers worldwide to take part.
Categories of Entry:
The contest has original design group, academic group, AI eyewear group.
i. Original design – master group (design experience of 10+ years)
ii. Original design – professional eyewear design group
iii. Academic group
iv. AI eyewear group
Key Dates:
• Registration Deadline: Friday, May 15, 2026
• Final Judging & Announcement of Winning Works and List: Monday, June 15, 2026
• Award Ceremony: June 16–18, 2026 (during the 2026 Shenzhen International Optics Fair)
Awards & Prize Allocation
i. Grand Prize (Organizing Committee): 80,000 RMB cash prize, medal, and certificate of honor
ii. Original design-master group:
• 1st Place: 50,000 RMB
• 2nd Place: 30,000 RMB
• 3rd Place: 20,000 RMB
• Each winner receives a medal and certificate of honor (1 winner per prize level)
iii. Original design-professional eyewear design group
• 1st Place: 30,000 RMB
• 2nd Place: 20,000 RMB
• 3rd Place: 10,000 RMB
• Each winner receives a medal and certificate of honor (1 winner per prize level)
iv. Academic group
• 8,000 RMB (2 winners), 5,000 RMB (4 winners), 2,000 RMB (6 winners)
• Each winner receives a medal and certificate of honor
v. AI eyewear group
• 1st Place: 30,000 RMB
• 2nd Place: 20,000 RMB
• 3rd Place: 10,000 RMB
• Each winner receives a medal and certificate of honor
Entry Display:
All shortlisted works will be displayed during the exhibition period.
