Since its founding in 2016, the Brazilian independent eyewear brand LAPIMA has distinguished itself through its handmade craftsmanship and highly sculptural designs, shattering traditional stereotypes of eyewear. With its unique aesthetic philosophy, LAPIMA eyewear is now exported to over 30 countries worldwide and is highly favored across various circles—international superstars such as Emma Stone, Cate Blanchett, Lady Gaga, and Julia Roberts have all been photographed wearing LAPIMA frames, showcasing the brand’s premium quality and fashionable appeal.

LAPIMA’s workshop in Campinas, Brazil, employs more than 20 artisans, with each pair of glasses meticulously hand-carved, polished, and assembled, ultimately taking shape through the warmth of skilled fingertips.

As an avid surfer, the brand’s creative director, Gustavo Assis, infuses his passion for surfing into the newly launched Boards collection. Drawing inspiration from the shapes and dynamic qualities of surfboards, he translates elements of speed, fluidity, and the surfer’s personal identity into the eyewear’s design language, imbuing the frames with unique emotions and attitudes. The Boards collection blends sculptural aesthetics with practicality, featuring a range of distinctive frame styles to suit diverse preferences.

Among them, the Stephanie and Coco cat-eye models are inspired by the swallowtail design of fish surfboards, with smooth and gentle lines that preserve the brand’s signature sculptural essence while exuding feminine elegance.
