MOREL Unveils ENIGMA, its First Special Edition, at MIDO

At the latest edition of MIDO, the industry’s must-attend trade show, several eyewear designs captured the attention of an increasingly discerning audience in search of novelty and quality. MOREL’s very first Special Edition, ENIGMA, was among the standout highlights, clearly making its mark on the Italian scene.

Presented on a hypnotic stand inviting visitors to dive into this new and immersive universe, the ENIGMA concept immediately stood out thanks to its bold positioning and original creative approach. With this latest collection, MOREL once again demonstrates its ability to surprise and innovate, while remaining true to its identity as Lunetier français since 1880.

With ENIGMA, the brand opens a true window of creative freedom, pushing the boundaries of stylistic expression. Deliberately niche, the frames feature generous silhouettes, defined by wider bridges and longer endpieces. These confident design choices were developed by the design team with both style and comfort in mind, while preserving lightness — long-standing and non-negotiable signatures of MOREL.

A unisex concept, ENIGMA explores a wide variety of shapes and colour palettes, while playing with a subtle combination of materials: an inner transparency that visually lightens the frame, paired with a bold, full outer contour that is graphic and powerful. A delicate balance serving a single mission: to enhance the eyes.

MOREL’s renowned craftsmanship is expressed in every detail, particularly through sophisticated temples whose colour deliberately contrasts with that of the front, reinforcing the frame’s overall line and structure.

This expertise continues through combination models featuring an invisible metal structure, fully embedded within the acetate, ensuring a pure and seamless finish.

Finally, a strong and distinctive signature detail completes the concept’s identity: a raised insert on the temple tip, echoing the colour of the front, asserting the uniqueness and coherence of this already award-winning new proposition by MOREL.
