Since 2004, V.MAGAZINE has organized the VOS (Visionaries of Style) designer brand area at the Hong Kong International Optical Fair each year, becoming a driving force behind this trend. VOS showcases independent eyewear brands from around the globe, opening doors to the markets of Hong Kong, mainland China, Southeast Asia, and the entire Asian region. These brands are known for their distinctive designs and unique styles, making VOS a must-visit highlight of the fair.

QUALITY WITHOUT COMPROMISE DUE TO EXCLUSIVE MATERIALS
MARKUS T works with functional and exclusive materials: TMi and titanium. TMi is a synthetic developed and patented just for MARKUS T that unites two seemingly contradictory properties. It is tough, retains its shape and at the same time is extremely light. Sunlight? It could never affect the color. It is also recyclable and anti-allergenic just like titanium. The alloy MARKUS T uses is of such high quality that it is even applied in medical technology. It allows the development of ultra-flat and narrow frames, which are extremely durable and unbreakable due to their good spring properties and the resultant high flexibility.

Each TAVAT frame is produced in small batches by some of the best eyewear artisans in the Northeast of Italy, an area famous for eyewear manufacturing. Each frame can take up to 5 months to produce, and undergo more than one hundred handmade steps ensuring artistic and technical excellence, in which each frame also undergoes multiple quality control checkpoints throughout its production cycle.

The Soupcan series is one of the most innovative products from this brand, blending classic elements with modern design to create a truly unique style. Each Soupcan frame is handcrafted by artisans, featuring intricate details and a luxurious feel. Masunaga Optical is a Japanese eyewear brand, and the only company in Japan that has a factory in charge of all processes from raw material to production. Their integrated production system improves the detail and quality. These technologies that have been developed over 100 years are accumulated there. Masunaga Optical premiered the eyewear production in Fukui, Japan in 1905. The company founder Gozaemon Masunaga brought in skilled craftsmen from Osaka and Tokyo with the ambition of setting the optical industry solidly in place in Fukui. Goldsmith and jewel setter Marcus Marienfeld has been working on innovative eyewear in his manufactory in Ried- Brig for almost over 30 years. Founded in 1992 by him and his wife Caroline, the company now has 7 employees, including goldsmiths, watchmakers and surface finishers. Under the direction of Marcus Marienfeld, the team creates small works of art – individually adapted to the respective anatomy on request. After all, the wearer should be as comfortable as possible. As a visit to the manufactory shows, nothing is left to chance. Milling, laser cutting and filing are carried out with great concentration at the workstations. It’s all about precision. Every detail has to be right. And it all starts with the right material. Titanium, Indian water buffalo horn, carbon and 18kt gold are the raw materials for the high-quality frames.
