On June 24th, Longgang, Shenzhen will host a pinnacle showdown in the design world. The final roadshow of the 2025 Shenzhen International Eyewear (Smart Wearable) Design Competition will kick off here, with designers from multiple countries including France, Germany, and Japan competing for the industry’s top honors. With the theme of “Unveiling the Future through Eyewear: The Symbiosis of Art and Technology”, this year’s competition has received a total of 2,860 submissions, an 18% increase compared to 2024 and setting a new record for eyewear design competitions in China.

The entries not only embody global intelligence but also carry the mission of transforming traditional eyewear into smart interactive devices. From June 25 to 27, all award-winning entries will be publicly displayed in the “Design Competition Results Exhibition Area” at the 2025 Shenzhen International Optics Fair, showcasing a design-driven new ecosystem in the industry.
The competition is divided into five categories: Original Design – Master Group, Professional Eyewear Design Group, Academic Competition Group, Smart Eyewear (Wearable) Design Group, and Creative Design Group, exploring the limitless possibilities of eyewear design. The competition adopts a collaborative mechanism of “international solicitation + multinational judging + industry-academia-research interaction,” serving as a vital bridge to connect global resources. Students and faculty from domestic and international institutions will compete alongside corporate designers, fostering the growth of new forces in the industry.
