CHANEL Launches 2025 Spring/Summer Eyewear Collection Campaign with Four Brand Ambassadors Showcasing a Fashionable Multiverse

CHANEL released a promotional video and a series of photos for its 2025 Spring/Summer eyewear collection on social media yesterday. Renowned American rapper Kendrick Lamar joins as the brand’s new ambassador, alongside three other ambassadors—Nana Komatsu, Lupita Nyong’o, and Margaret Qualley—each interpreting the new eyewear collection. This campaign aims to embody their exceptional artistic talents and marks a bold new drive for the brand.Under the lens of Karim Sadli, the four ambassadors showcase various uniquely designed CHANEL eyewear, blending metal, leather, and vintage styles to present the brand’s signature fashion-forward, elegant, and daring aesthetic.

Regarding this collaboration, Kendrick Lamar stated, “Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses.”

The narrow rectangular sunglasses he wears exude a stylish and independent image, with unique metal details on the temples featuring nine movable metal rings, comprising eight transparent beads and one CHANEL double C logo, blending fashion with playful ingenuity.

Nana Komatsu
The popular Japanese actress, known for films like The World of Kanako and The Last Ten Years, presents both sunglasses and optical glasses. The former combines leather and metal details, showcasing the brand’s iconic leather chain design; the latter features a cat-eye shape adorned with a string of double C logos at the brow, along with double C metal decorations on the temples, embodying the brand’s noble and elegant style.

Margaret Qualley
The rising star, who gained popularity from the film The Substance, also donned two pairs of eyewear in the campaign. The sunglasses are a sister style to those worn by Nana Komatsu, featuring an oval frame that is currently in vogue, with slightly upward-turned corners for a hint of cat-eye charm. The optical glasses are an oversized square design, merging vintage and modern elements. The temples feature a metal circular ring with a movable semicircular ornament, accompanied by the CHANEL name, presenting a simple yet dynamic aesthetic.

The actress of Mexican and Kenyan descent wears a pair of square sunglasses in this promotional campaign. The wide lines of the temples create a striking visual impact. The elegant metal harmoniously blends with vibrantly colored leather, resulting in a distinctive decorative aesthetic.
