Winners of the Best Store Award Announced at MIDO! A 900 m² Eyewear Paradise in Belgium

Each year, the MIDO Milan Eyewear Show presents the Best Store Award, which has two categories: Design and Innovation. This year’s winner in the Design category is Zien & Horen Frits Van Den Bosch from Belgium. The store is a large eyewear establishment renovated from an industrial-style building, covering an area of 900 m². It retains the original concrete structure while showcasing a modern exterior and distinctive interior decor. When customers look up at the ceiling, they are greeted by a large skylight that spans the store from front to back, providing ample natural light during the day.

This store offers customers a unique shop-in-shop experience. On the first floor, numerous renowned brands, including Lindberg, Etnia Barcelona, Anne & Valentine, Porsche Design, Ray-Ban, and Oakley, have dedicated display spaces. Additionally, the first floor features a bar area where guests can enjoy a drink, creating a relaxed and pleasant shopping atmosphere. On one side of the second floor, there is a playful children’s eyewear section, while the other side provides comprehensive services, including ophthalmology services, contact lens fittings, and audiology.

Furthermore, Zien & Horen Frits Van Den Bosch occasionally introduces “pop-up” elements in the store. Last year, they showcased a piano, a Porsche Boxster, antique eye examination equipment, and a BMW electric motorcycle, offering customers a unique experience.
