Emerging from the fashion capital of Antwerp, Belgium, the avant-garde eyewear brand Wujic Jo made its debut in 2020. In just a few years, it has distinguished itself in the eyewear market with its unconventional and surprising signature aesthetic, earning widespread acclaim in the fashion industry. For instance, the brand’s initial offering, “His Boat,” drew inspiration from the shape of a boat, incorporating an innovative folding arm structure that reflects the image of a “boat paddle.” The subsequent Cocktail series ingeniously places a ring in the center of the front frame on both sides, simultaneously presenting eyewear as a piece of jewelry, showcasing a bold artistic vision.
Wujic Jo’s latest Nepoleon collection is inspired by the Hussar jacket (Dolman). This new collection reinterprets the classic elegance of the Hussar uniform through in two modern lens shapes. These frames feature shoulder strap braiding details on the bridge and temple tips, reflecting the intricate designs of the Hussar uniform. The contrasting colors of traditional uniforms are shown through the mix of acetate and metal with details on the temple tip. The front and temples are made from 100% titanium and beta titanium, while the temple tips use premium Italian acetate. This collection continues the brand’s production approach of designing in Belgium and manufacturing in Japan, combining the rigorous craftsmanship of Japan with the rich fashion heritage of Antwerp.
