From April 30th to May 2nd at Rho Fiera Milano, in Italy’s fashion capital, 650 exhibitors from 45 countries, including the USA, Germany, France, Spain, Korea, Japan, etc., will be at MIDO to present their collections and products before an audience of Italian and international buyers, opticians, designers and journalists.
“After two years of pandemic and in light of the complexities of the current geopolitical situation that, of course, worries us, first and foremost from the human but also economic and social perspectives, operators have an urgent need to gather, in order to share information and exchange ideas to glean the energy needed to cope with the coming challenges– stated Giovanni Vitaloni, President of MIDO.
MIDO is the only industry event that includes the entire eyewear supply chain. From large brands to the smaller companies focused on innovation and experimentation, will be on display in the 5 MIDO pavilions at Rho Fiera and in the 8 different exhibit areas.
MIDO is a must opportunity for conducting business, sharing outlooks on the future and organizing key moments of professional updating focused on the entire sector. Seminars and meetings are held in the OttiClub space, pavilion 15, with the collaboration of partners like WGSN, GFK and others. Among the topics that will be examined are retail marketing, with meetings about how to attract visitors to the point of sale; and the power of color on design, with an eye to the S/S 2023 season; sustainability, and more. The complete calendar of events and presentations will be available at https://www.mido.com/en/
Since 2019, MIDO has undertaken a journey aimed at sustainability and corporate transparency. The first edition of Stand up for green, the award for the most sustainable trade show installation, will be presented in the Fashion District square on May 1st at 2.30 pm, along with the BeStore award for the best optical shop in the world.
Given the success encountered last June, the digital platform, created for the 2021 edition, will be open to the entire MIDO community allowing them to respond swiftly and tangibly to the primary goal of developing business opportunities. A useful tool for the participants on hand, but even more so for those who, due to health restrictions and the current political situation, are unable to travel.
The utmost care will be taken to comply with safety protocols: according to the most recent post-Covid decree law, issued by the Italian government on March 24th, access to the show on April 30th will be subject to possession of a basic green pass, that can be obtained with an antigen test valid 48 hours or molecular valid 72 hours. Starting May 1st, there will no longer be any requirements.
Provisions will be constantly updated and available at https://www.mido.com/en/join-in-safety
