With the recent “Covid Law Decree”, issued by the Italian government at the beginning of February, MIDO 2022 is even more open to international mobility and to foreign visitors, who will be able to freely access fairs with a vaccine certification recognized in italy or with a rapid or molecular negative test if the vaccine certification is not recognized in italy. Although Mido management invites you to please check the rules of your country, before flying, no quarantine is necessary with a complete vaccination cycle certification and negative test.

A further sign of confidence also comes from the numbers of the sector, released on the occasion of the ANFAO assembly. In the last nine months of 2021, the data showed an improvement compared to the expectations of the first part of the year and a complete return to the values ​​of 2019. In particular, the recovery is mainly driven by prescription frames for exports and ophthalmic lenses in the domestic market, while for exports all the main reference countries for Italian eyewear are showing a good recovery.

The companies in our sector are back to full activity – concludes Vitaloni – and look to the upcoming MIDO 2022 as an unmissable opportunity to finally meet national and international customers physically and to present the collections, which will be about durability, research, sustainability and quality.
