EYEVAN Opens Specialty Store “THE EYEVAN” in Kyoto Gion

THE EYEVAN is a new store name that was born as a specialty store where EYEVAN, EYEVAN 7285, 10 eyevan and Eyevol, which are the original brand labels of EYEVAN Inc., are gathered together.

Since the establishment of the brand in 1972, EYEVAN has consistently made high quality eyewear in Japan (Sabae), and has been aggressively expanding overseas not only in Japan, but also in Europe and in the U.S.A. This time THE EYEVAN has chosen “Kyoto Gion” as the first store, that symbolizes Japanese culture, and where it remains strong until now, as a transmission base for transmitting Japan’s world-class eyewear making to the world.

The interior of the store is designed by Mr. Yasumichi Morita, GLAMOROUS co., ltd. A modern space design that makes you feel the current Gion, inspired by the location of Gion. The interior incorporates curved lines so that straight lines stand out, and objects using Kyo-fans are installed in the central atrium to express the brand’s world view. The exterior is a Machiya design that matches the cityscape of Gion.

The uniforms worn by the staff are commissioned to Rainmaker, a fashion brand based in Kyoto. It is finished in a modern and clean design that incorporates Japanese essence and functionality while blending into the store space.
