GUCCI and Doraemon’s collaborative capsule collection has been released last week globally, featuring the much loved Japanese icon over the GG motif, across different product categories, like handbags, sweaters, T-shirts, skirts, sports shoes, scarves, etc. What’s interesting is that GUCCI not only uses the classic blue color Doraemon as decoration, but also puts Doraemon into a cow look in tribute of the Year of the Ox. In addition to the fashion items mentioned above, GUCCI also launched the Doraemon x Gucci specialized-fit sunglasses, which are not like other items decorated with Doraemon disguise. The gold metal temples are incorporated with GUCCI’s signature Horsebit detail which are presented in a mini shape. At first glance, they look like the fourth-dimensional pouch of Doraemon. Other than that, there seems to be no clearer Doraemon elements on the sunglasses. Glasses are made in Italy. The shaded burgundy lens are produced with 100% UVA/UVB protection.
