One must follow the lines, distinguish the volumes and forms carefully to understand that these frames with a simple design in appearance, hide an exceptional technicality and inventiveness of the use of metal. Always very talented when it comes to exploring new creative ways, Jean-François Rey continues his research on coloured metal and launches the WAVE concept: 3 semi-rimless stainless steel shapes, impressive balance, technicality and creativity. Constantly challenged by the urban effervescence and the architectural culture, the designer cultivates here the codes of the contemporary design: a fascinating game where the thin lines of metal fold, intercross, superimpose and vibrate on the front in a lightweight and airy structure.
Each stainless steel piece is folded and coloured separately, by hand, in a precise, clean, and efficient technical manner. The assembly of the pieces on the lug of the frames is studied to create a graphic effect that is visually powerful. The choice of colours has an essential role: pure and luminous so as to sublimate the graphic aesthetics of the frames.
