CES 2026: Meta Ray-Ban Display Turns Your Fingers into an Invisible Keyboard

Last fall, Meta launched the highly popular Meta Ray-Ban Display and Meta Neural Band, with international shipments delayed due to overwhelming demand. At CES 2026, Meta unveiled two brand-new features for the Meta Ray-Ban Display, taking smart wearables to the next level.

The first feature allows users wearing the Meta Neural Band to write with their fingers on any surface, instantly transcribing these gestures into messages. No longer will you need to touch your phone to quickly send messages on WhatsApp and Messenger. This futuristic approach to messaging feels like a glimpse into the future of communication. Currently, this feature is limited to the United States and supports only English.

The second new feature is a teleprompter. While most AI glasses with displays on the market already offer teleprompter functionality—and thus this addition isn’t particularly surprising—Meta has integrated its own unique operating features. Users can easily navigate the teleprompter with the Neural Band, allowing them to deliver speeches at their own pace.

In addition to these two new features, Meta has also updated the navigation capabilities of the glasses, adding four more cities: Denver, Las Vegas, Portland, and Salt Lake City, bringing the total to 32 U.S. cities. More cities will be added soon, although for now, navigation is expected to remain exclusive to the U.S., as Meta continues to struggle to keep up with overwhelming domestic demand.
