As the annual event for the international eyewear industry, the 23rd Daegu International Optical Show (DIOPS 2025) will be held from April 2 to 4, 2025, in Daegu, South Korea. This exhibition is organised by the city of Daegu and hosted by the Korea Optical Industry Agency (KOIA), taking place at the EXCO West Hall 1-2. The event is expected to feature 150 companies and attract over 10,000 visitors from both Korea and abroad. With an exhibition area of approximately 10,000 square meters, it provides ample display space for various optical glasses and related products. Exhibits will include a full range of eyewear, such as frames, sunglasses, lenses, contact lenses, optical equipment, cases, and accessories, showcasing over 1,000 outstanding brands to meet the diverse needs of different customer groups.
The opening day will feature a ceremony, VIP tours, a luncheon, and various events. Notably, DIOPS will feature the “DIOPS Innovation” sections (Design Innovation and Technology Innovation) established last year, where visitors can experience products that lead Korea’s latest technologies and designs.
In Daegu, known for its high-performance plastic frame manufacturing, there is also a growing emphasis on nurturing eyeglass brands. Recently, apartment-style rental factories with advanced processing centers have also attracted attention. The Korea Optical Industry Promotion Institute states, “DIOPS provides opportunities for market development and sales support for buyers from all over the world, offering various export support programs. Visitors will be able to see products with excellent functionality and design, as well as the latest eyeglass manufacturing technologies. We welcome participants and visitors from Hong Kong and Greater China’s optical industry to attend next year’s exhibition.” For more details, visit the official DIOPS website at http://www.diops.co.kr
