Amy Roiland is an eyewear blogger and fashion blogger living in Los Angeles. She is also the founder of FashionTap which connects up the entire fashion industry on one social platform. With tremendous passion to eyewear, she designs eyewear for BettyandVeronica.com which shares the same playful and girly essence with her. How did you become a digital influencer?
I think at this time it is basically impossible to become a digital influencer. IG doesn’t allow its users to grow or be seen, only 10% of your content is seen on IG. This is why no one is growing and no one gets many likes anymore. I started 5 years ago and I would post 2-3 times a day and post a blog a day. It’s all about being persistent and getting your content out there on every single profile. I have grown slowly over the years. Nowadays I post about once a day if that so the content can be seen and stick on peoples feeds. It really is depressing what IG is doing to their content creators..

Retro, quirky, girly.
What are the three things you can’t live without?
Eyewear, Green Tea Matcha, Spinach.
Who or what inspires you?
Wes Anderson and Gucci. The latest Gucci campaigns and videos are to die for Alessandro is a genius.
What’s your story with eyewear?
I have always loved eyewear. I designed all the glasses for BettyandVeronica.com. Now that I did this I am moving onto my own line and another line with a partner. I want to only work in eyewear as a designer.
Can you share with us your favourite glasses?
They would have to be my black and clear Ethel designs with red lenses.

La Eyeworks, Nina Mur eyewear, Christian Roth Eyewear. These are 3 of my favorite brands because they pay attention to detail when it comes to eyewear design and all of their glasses are very fun and unique.
What are your plans for the future?
Design Design Design. I am even designing my own handbag line now as well!
